Wow.....what a day!
It all started last night when I couldn't get my pictures to download on etsy. It isn't etsy....its my stinking dial-up connections! Does anyone feel the same way I do that lives in a place where you cannot get broadband!!!!!
I really feel like a "stepchild" when they will not put dial up out here where I live. I have a business that I am trying to build, and it frustrates me to no end!!!!!! One of the people I teach with told me how they get broadband and its actually cheaper than just my AOL bill! And just because of my location. Its not like I live in a town with 3 people and 30 cows!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, guess I'll have to really bug some people at AT&t. :)
This next part is not for the faint at heart. It concerns my daughter's miniature schnauzer! I was already stressed trying to "fix" my computer to make it work faster last night...and here comes Romeo, that is the schnauzer. Well, he wants to be petted. So I do, and when I touch his ear he is squealling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok...I had just let him in from outside, so I am wondering, did he get hit...did he get into it with the cat? I looked for blood. No blood. I check all his bones....none broken. So now what? I noticed, like I said earlier, that it was his ear that seemed to be bothering him. I could hardly get him to allow me to touch it but I coaxed him into letting me get a look and there it was!!!!!!!!!!! THE NASTIEST, BIG, GRAY, ABOUT TO POP, TICK. I'm not talking about one of those little ticks that you get in the woods...I'm talking about a bloodsucking dog tick. Way down in his ear!!!!! And he was hurting!!! All I could think of was that I had to get it out before it went down further into his ear.
SO>>>>>>>>> I woke my husband from his sleep. He doesn't really love the dog, but he is a sweetie and got up because he saw that it bothered me. He helped me get the tick...and it was a bit of ordeal....and at 1:30 in the morning I might add! (I AM A NIGHT OWL)
I then noticed that it looked as if another one might be in there.................aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.
It was way too far in there so I am going to the vet with him tomorrow!
The funny thing about this is that I was already going to have to take off work and take my 14 year old daughter (yes, Romeo's owner) to the doctor.....but this is the funny part.........she is having trouble with HER ears. Of course, hers is an infection due to allergy problems. She is easy to mess with , so I told her that I thought she might have the same problem as Romeo! She didn't find it amusing, and actually, she found it disgusting. She has a very weak stomach to certain things, ticks and blood being on the top of the list.
Anyway.....that was last night...and then again today I spent most of the day trying to improve the speed of this darn computer. I cleared all the footprints, defragmented, etc.
Has anyone ever defragmented before? It takes forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, this is only my second blog, and if you follow it, you will see the many crazy things that go on, almost daily, at my house!!!! My life is a comic book!!!!!! Friends tell me I should write all of these things down. Well, this is my attempt. The problem is, as you can tell, I tend to ramble, hack sentences and so forth.
I am blogging ......that is a start!!! Please don't critique my spelling, grammar, sentence structure! LOL I am typing for pleasure.....not for a grade. :) just kidding
Well.....gotta go try to get a sub for tomorrow. At the rate I'm going I won't be able to get one!!!
Feel free to comment or share your experiences on here as well. I love hearing people's stories and comments!
