Flip Flop Season is HERE!

So, I can't believe it has been so long since I have blogged on here! I actually thought I had deleted this two years ago! Now I will try to keep this updated more often. :)

I decided in celebration of summer approaching, I would post some pictures of some custom flip flops I create. I can make these in adult or child sizes and will completely customize these to your liking. Now for some blogging.........
I really don't know where to start. I think Etsy is a fabulous place. I love the people, they have such talented artisans and craftspeople! The question I am having lately is do I belong there? I know what a quality product I sell. I have lots of business outside of Etsy. I just haven't decided if Etsy is the place to sell my hairbows. So many people sell hairbows and there are only so many buyers to go around.
Thank goodness I have my very reliable clientelle here in my town!
I am opening my shop next week for people to shop from. You can use your paypal account and shop til you drop! I am going to expand and have more big girl things in my shop as well.

I have my old shop up right now, mainly just last year's items. The old website was a "look only" website. You had to call to make an order.
I know from my own shopping tendencies, I am a shopper that wants to buy it right then and there....no waiting. So folks, that is what you will be able to do! I am excited to have you see the fantastic items I will have for sale there! I am keeping them a secret, so you'll have to check back!

BAAAD Birthday!

Well, yesterday was my 38th birthday!
I had the worst allergy attack in a long while. My face was so swollen I bit the inside of my mouth (cheeks) twice! LOL
Seriously though.....why do some people have such luck and don't have allergies???
They have tortured me since I was a little girl! Had to have 3 shots per week in middle and high school. Mine are a little less frequent, but my theory here in Louisiana is....if it is going to be pretty and cool outside...I am going to be miserable!!!!
My sweet husband brought me medicine and tried to help out. Poor thing...he brought me soup for lunch....HAHA...like I had a cold or a stomach virus! I told him I still had an appetite (unfortunately).

So...business is picking up...slowly...I'm still waiting for my online website to be ready to purchase from....crossing my fingers for next week.

Well, I hope everyone will sign up for the contest! I really would love if everyone would EMAIL this to a friend if they have a little girl to give one too.
Who knows...I may send more than one! I just want to know people would like to participate.

Well, this one is short and sweet today. I have to catch up on my housework and sewing from the days I was unable to function!

What to blog? That is MY question

Hello everyone...If there is anyone out there! LOL

When I decided to blog, I was told it was the thing to do to promote my etsy shop. Its kind of weird to me though. Why would anyone want to read about me or my business. I know that is how a lot of people say they feel when they start them, but it really is strange....
So....I guess I'll just ramble about my life a little. Everything is going fine, I am teaching and loving my class this year! 6th graders can be so hilarious! They are metamorphasizing like little tadpoles! haha... My class this year is really a great group of kids. Some of them are sooo funny. One of my students is moving and we're all going to miss him. He has been teaching us Spanish (his primary language). I think he really gets a kick out of us trying to pronounce the words. Right now we have been working on the days of the week. This has really come in handy!
Let me tell you the story....its kind of typical for me. One day as I was checking my messages on my home answering machine, I scanned through the messages and was deleting the ones I didn't need to save....well....my finger hit SOMETHING....some button.....and the machine started speaking Spanish. Evidently, I pressed a button to change the language. Have you ever tried to hear the instructions to CHANGE BACK something because you couldn't understand it, but couldn't change it back because you couldn't understand it??? UNDERSTAND????
Anyway..my student, like I said ,was teaching us Spanish. The other day I was listening to my messages, which of course tell me how many new messages I have, the time of the message, and the day of the message. Up until yesterday the only thing I could understand was a few numbers being said. NOW...this is the fun part....I was sooooooo excited...I heard the day "Domingo" which I recognized as SUNDAY!!! Yipeee I learned something. Maybe one day I'll know enough to change it back to English! (its been on Spanish for about 6 months now).

I will be getting my online store open next week. Up until now it has been just a site for my friends and people that buy from me to go to and see some of my work. I have been working with Greg, the guy that is developing my site for purchasing! I can't wait. I will be able to accept paypal and you can order right from home.

My Halloween Hairbows and Clippies on Etsy!!!



Halloween is nearing and little goblins will be running around soon.

I took them to school (work) with me the other day and they were gone! I had to make more for my shop!
